TITLE: SAD KING

DATE: 2022

Notes.

All the needle marks in crown and bottom of the photo are filled with sumi ink. Post production the colors are inversed to appear white. The outline of the crown and sad face is similar, these marks are thick enough to see the scanner light peer through the clear plastic this makes it appear as black.

Both video channels loop. The left channel is a video I took and distorted of a freight train from 2018 and the right is a timelapse of a Camera Obscura I made in my room.

The backdrop is a screen recording of me digitally distorting photo data until the image is no longer comprehensibly read by the file type (jpg).

The backdrop is a video of a freight train and the color spectrum of the actors changes when I change the low-light mode on the camera (a captured moment entirely unplanned).
